OVERSEAS CITIZENSHIP OF INDIA(OCI) CARD

An OCI card is a lifelong visa for India with no restrictions on number of visits, duration of stay and with exemption from any registration formalities. It also offers a range of economic, financial and educational benefits on par with Non-ResidentIndians (NRI) (for details please see brochure-OCI).

ELIGIBLITY FOR OCI CARD

A person is entitled for a OCI card if :

i)Who is a citizen of another country

ii) He/She or either of his/her parents/grand parents/great grand parents was a citizen of India at the time of, or any time after commencement of Constitution(26.01.1950)

iii) He/She is a spouse of foreign origin of a citizen of India or an OCI card holder and whose marriage is registered and submitted for a continuous period of not less than two years.

FEE FOR OCI SERVICES

Fee for fresh OCI- US$ 275/- Plus US$ 3/- (ICWF)

Fee for valid PIO to OCI- US$ 100/- Plus US$ 3/- (ICWF)

OCI miscellaneous services- US$ 25/- Plus US$ 3/- (ICWF)

VALIDITY OF AN OCI CARD

An OCI Card is valid lifelong subject to the condition that the OCI Card holder possess a valid Myanmar passport.

 FACILIITIES ENJOYED BY OCI CARD HOLDERS IN INDIA

1. An OCI card holder shall not require a separate visa to visit India.

2. An OCI card holder is allowed to visit India any number of times, stay for any duration without registration with FRRO.

3. All OCI Card holders shall enjoy parity with NRIS in all facilities available to them in economics, financial, educational, cultural and other areas except acquiring agriculture or plantation properties.
