Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre

Swami Vivekananda Culture Centre, Yangon was established to showcase India's rich heritage soft power and to promote multi-layered cultural exchange between the people of India and Myanmar. This culture centre was inaugurated on 23 December 2021 by Shri Harsh Vardhan Shringla, Foreign Secretary, Government of India.

The SVCC Yangon is basically the cultural wing of the Embassy of India in Myanmar. The motto of this centre is to promote awareness and aspirations of India's composite culture heritage abroad as well as to promote Indian dance, Hindi learning and Yoga teaching.

This centre is located in the heart of Yangon city that in the downtown area in a heritage building.

This is not only located in the heart of the city but Vivekananda Culture Centre is also the heart of the culture activities in Yangon. In this heritage building, we have a State of Art Auditorium, Conference Room, Yoga and Meditation Room, Hindi and Dance Class Rooms, Exhibition Hall and a Multi-Purpose Hall. In this prestigious centre we have a very enriched Library and (Hindi)Language Lab also.

Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre Yangon is open to all persons interested in learning and knowing about India and preserving, promoting and enriching Indian Culture values and heritage. SVCC Yangon invites Artists, Academicians, Writers and Performers from India and Myanmar as well as artist and performance group sent by the ICCR, New Delhi to showcase their performances and skills.

The Centre is more enthusiastic on working with local cultural organizations to promote Indian culture. The Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre Embassy of India presents/organize many culture programs on various subjects each month on different occasions. We also organize regular classes for Bharatanatyam, Hindi language learning and Yoga by professional teachers.

Swami Vivekananda cultural organizers various programs with many culture partners locally like Universities, Foundations, Culture Societies Art Galleries etc. In particular, SVCC always enjoys creating culture events for and with the people of Myanmar by exploring cultural themes of mutual interest. It looks upon it works as complementing and supplementing the efforts already being made by Cultural Organizations and Educational Institutions in Myanmar to promote Indian Art and Culture.

Registration Fee          - MMK    6300/-

Late Fees                     - MMK    4200/-

 

Admission for new students is from 1st  to 10th  of every month for Yoga , Hindi & Dance Classes (Excluding Saturday & Sundays).

Fee should be paid between 1st to 10th of every month.
